Dear Friends,
Greetings from an extremely cold and wet Sri Lanka - certainly the wettest and coldest in our region (Uva) in living memory I'm told!!
I write to request your prayers for the following concerns:
1. As already intimated Mrs Ianthe Peris needs prayer as she battles liver cancer with a very strong faith and positive attitude
2. Please uphold the victims of the recent flooding and displacements in our country and for all who minister to them
3. Please pray for the Diocese of Colombo as we prepare to elect a new Bishop and Chief Shepherd at the special sessions of the Diocesan Council to be convened on the 5th of March 2011. If there is a contest the candidate must obtain a 2/3rds in both houses (Clergy & Laity) to be elected. A situation where there is no contest would of course be ideal.
4. Please pray for our School here that will be venturing into new things this year and as I draw to the end of my period of stewardship and the search begins for a successor
